A bushfire near NASAs Deep Space Complex near Canberra.
A bushfire near NASA’s Deep Space Centre has closed roads, however the complex is currently not under threat.
Roads leading to the NASA Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex have been closed until further notice.
The facility, part of a wider network of Space monitoring stations across the world, is not threatened.
However, lots of smoke from bushfires is nearby and the massive Orroral Fire is due south.
The bushfire is listed as ‘out of control’ and has burnt through 630 sq km Of bushland so far.
The facility is the only Southern Hemisphere station of NASA’s Deep Space Network.
