Joe Dough Sydney : Cookie Dough Diner Opens in Sydney

Joe Dough Sydney is serving cookie dough scoops – a spin on the gelato craze – in Darlinghurst.

The cafe is also selling light and fluffy cookie dough creations, as well as doughnuts and burgers.

The American diner food inspired cafe is the work of founder Dan McGuirt – a Sydney residing Chef originally from the US.

His new Joe Dough iteration is on Darlinghurst Road, near Kings Cross, in Darlinghurst.

In an Instagram post in June, Joe Doe Sydney went viral for their cookie dough in a cup creations.

“Who doesn’t like eating cookie dough? At Joe Dough we love cookie dough.”

“Is it safe to eat? Of course! No eggs and made with pasteurised flour. Flavours from the front, Oreo cookies and cream, chocolate chip & pecans, peanut butter and chocolate and fudge & white chocolate chips.”

While the cookie dough in a cup has our attention, the real beauty of McGuirt’s Joe Dough Sydney diner is the hand made doughnuts, washed down with American style drip filtered coffee.

“Of all the things I’ve cooked, doughnuts are the only thing I truly enjoy. It’s because of how hard it is to do,” says McGuirt to Broadsheet Sydney.

The rest of the Sydney media is starting to take note, with stories in the Urban List and the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
