Grass has been laid at the new Paramatta Stadium as the season gets underway for the local Parramatta Eels.

The new home to the Western Sydney Wanderers and Paramatta Eels looks quite spectacular and it’s sure to be one of the best fan experiences in the world.

The gradient of the grandstands and boutique feel will ensure every fan is close and engaged with the on field action.

The 30,000 seat venue is right at the heart of the action in Parammatta City.

Fresh turf being laid at Parramatta Stadium/ Bankwest Stadium this week

The new 30,000 seat stadium is a fantastic edition for fan experience, hosting NRL, A-League franchises, plus women’s soccer, soccer and rugby internationals.

This is a fans-first stadium,” NSW Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“Sydney has fallen behind on quality stadiums and this stadium starts to change that

“I think people will be blown away by the proximity to the field and the amazing sight lines.”

The stadium is owned and operated by the NSW Government and was designed by Populous Architects

Paramatta Stadium was built by Lendlease with a build cost budgeted at $300 million.

The stadium will open in april 2019
