Breaking: Qantas Flight QF10 is returning to London after a tail strike on takeoff.
There are reports a Qantas aircraft flying London to Perth is returning to Heathrow.
The aircraft is burning fuel over London.
QF10 is one of the world’s longest flights, taking 17-hours between the UK and Australia.
A Qantas Dreamliner, flight number left Heathrow Airport for Perth on Sunday morning. The flight is now circling mid-air in a hold pattern.

Stormy conditions on the ground in London are making landings difficult today.
“I’ve never seen anything like today at Heathrow, so many go-arounds and missed approaches!,” Aviation social media account Big Jet TV said.
