Breaking: Passengers who have survived the Ruby Princess cruise debacle have now been warned they may have been exposed to another disease.
ABC is reporting that that a Ruby Princess crew member was diagnosed with tuberculosis this week.
NSW Health issued a statement today saying the crew members diagnosis could be a threat to former passengers.
All passengers who were on the Ruby Princess who survived the Coronavirus are being informed.
The crew member in question is being treated in a Sydney shootist for TB.
“The crew member is currently a patient being treated in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and was diagnosed many weeks after you were on the cruise,” the message to former cruise ship passengers read.
The statement said people who may be at increased risk of infection will be identified and given preventative treatment if necessary.
