Police are not holding back on trying to modify people’s activity in public.
Nine News has taken footage of police on Sydney’s popular Coogee Beach, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, of police telling people who have stopped to sit on park benches and grassed areas to move on.
Cameras earlier today showed NSW Police officers wandering across the popular promenade and sending people home who were minding their own business.
In one scene, two mums, one of whom was breastfeeding her baby, are told to go home and leave the area.
In the footage, the officer can be seen walking away from the pair soon after.
Tradies on their break can be seen being told to move on.
Anyone not following social distancing rules and staying at home unless working out or shopping for supplies, faces 6-months jail or $11,000.
