Up to 30,000 homes in Sydney are without power, after a massive line of storm cells swept across the city.
Emergency crews are working to restore power to about 30,000 customers across Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter region after tonight’s storms.
People should be sure to stay away from fallen trees and debris which can hide damaged wires.
Outages seemed to be scattered across the Sydney suburbs, with areas in the inner-west, upper north shore and north western suburbs the worst hit.
A number of major delays at Sydney train lines were also repeated.
Passengers were stuck on trains as the network ground to a halt.
There were significant rain downpours recorded, with 34mm of rain at Guildford, 39mm at Toongabbie in 30 min are some of the standouts. The 1cm hail was reported at Baulkham Hills.

Commercial aircraft were forced to circle and wait as storm cells passed Sydney Airport.
Some flights were diverted to other cities.
An AFLW game between the GWS Giants and the Kangaroos in the inner west was delayed due to the severe weather. 🏈 ☔️
