Sydney smog

Sydney smoke alert – Air quality in the Sydney basin will deteriorate on Sunday as bushfire smoke blows in from the south of New South Wales.

Face masks may be in short supply due to Coronavirus fears. Now people in Sydney will have another reason to wear protection.

The NSW Weather Bureau has warned thick bushfire smoke will arrive in Sydney late Saturday and Sunday morning.

5.5 million people in the greater Sydney area are warned to stay indoors and avoid outdoor exercise as air quality plummets.

“Poor air quality is expected in #Sydney on Sunday as a weak southerly change carries smoke from fires on the South Coast.,” BOM NSW said.
