Breaking: Sydney is flooding, with warnings in place for Sunday night and Monday morning.
People across the greater Sydney region are told to avoid flooded roads as dangerous flash flooding is underway.
Some areas both of Sydney and in the Newcastle area are experiencing dangerous rain levels and flooded roads and overflowing storm water systems.
The SES sent out an alert Sunday night for Sydney.
“Heavy rainfall may lead to flooded roads Sun night and Mon morning, making driving conditions dangerous about some parts of Syd. Motorists are advised to take extreme care.”
A massive low pressure system has moved down from Queensland over central NSW.
Sydney has experienced one of its wettest days all year, with almost constant rain in most areas.
