What’s up with this weather?
It’s snowing in New South Wales and the cold weather is about to hit town.
Snow if falling in the Mountains and video shows fresh snow falls
The temperature in Sydney is set to fall to 12C tonight as a cold front sweeps in from the west.
The cold front, an Antarctic freeze from the southern ocean, is bringing winter weather to large parts of Australia.

As well as snow in the ranges, there’s a lot of rain about the place.
A good soaking for most of NSW with falls exceeding 100mm in the upper Hunter valley this morning. Continuing showers and rain in northeast #NSW but in #Sydney we can already see blue skies to the west, with a cool change to follow, the BOM said on Twitter.
Meanwhile high winds around Sydney may be a problem with gusts to pick up later today, with a risk of damage.
