The first falls of snow in the alps of New South Wales have arrived.
Snow is falling today in Perisher ski resort, Mt Baw Baw, Falls Creek and other areas in the region.
The first strong change of Autumn has brought a light cover of snow at 1850m at Thredbo, BOM said.
Snow falls have been recorded at various top Stations.
Snow will lower to 1200m overnight before tending to showers later on Sunday.
A series of cold fronts are moving across SE Australia.
